Saimita is a graduate in English Literature from Jadavpur University and a traditional artist. She is deeply invested in using her art to initiate conversations around stigmatized topics and unashamedly voicing her opinion and experiences as a queer Dalit woman.

Saimita believes that Rangeen Khidki has given her a defined idea and direction to her purpose. At Rangeen Khidki, Saimita plays the role of the Social Media Manager which gives her an opportunity to work with a team of like minded individuals, a platform to talk about identity, gender and attempt at destigmatizing certain topics and a community of people who share the same ideals.
